NICHE Central Library – Overview Library at a Glance
The Central Library of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) is a cornerstone of academic excellence, dedicated to supporting the educational and informational needs of the institution. Spanning an area of 1,654.77 square meters, the library offers a seating capacity for 200 users and follows an Open Access System, integrated with state-of-the-art facilities. It is equipped with a vast collection of 83,405 books and 3,045 back volumes, in addition to subscribing to more than 69 periodicals (both national and international), over 207 e-journals, and 804 e-books.The library's operations are fully automated, covering all activities, including acquisition, circulation with renewal and reservation provisions, serial control, and online web based Public Access Catalogue (web-OPAC). This automation ensures efficient management of resources and user-friendly access to information. NICHE customized Koha LIS automation software.

Library Rules Membership
Available to all students, with annual renewal required. Library Hours: Open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Book Borrowing Limits: Postgraduates and PhD scholars may borrow up to four books; graduates up to two. Return Policy: Books must be returned within fifteen days, with an overdue charge of Rs 1.00 per volume per day. Discipline: Strict adherence to silence and discipline within the library premises.
